>>As I have mentioned in others posts we are currently in the process of converting from VFP5 to VFP7. In attempting to build our app we had a few errors due to syntax differences between the two versions. Nothing major. In 5 you could still run the app. But in 7 the app was not created. All errors had to be corrected before the app would be built. Is this new behavior for 7 or is there a setting that we have missed.

Wayne,
Thanks for your response. Primarily we are trying to find out why the app will not build with errors. In version 5 the app would be built even if it had errors. To be sure, we tested it this morning. We intentionally put in bad code (x = left()) and built the app. The sytax error was reported but the app was created with the error. In version 7 we inserted the same code and the error was reported but the app was not rebuilt.

This is not a major issue. We have corrected all of the errors. Mainly we were curious about the differences in the two versions and if there is a setting that controls this.

Thanks again.
