Just to finish off this branch of this thread...

I just did a small run (interrupted after a few hundred writes) and using the VFP8 PUBLIC beta the time it took to write 3 records to 3 different tables, then do a single FLUSH after that was 0.234 seconds each one (roughly, some more and a few less by a small bit).

By contrast, just the 3 writes, FLUSH removed, took .002 seconds for each one (group of 3). Here numbers varied in almost equal occurrances between .001 and .003.

This is a huge difference for the public beta, and I am happy to hear that your version runs much faster with FLUSH.
