Hi All,

Does an SQL Select move the record pointer in a table that is involved in the query and is already open? I'm sure that I've read previously that SQL doesn't affect the table being queried because it opens another instance of the table and performs the query on that instance. When I perform an SQL Select I can see that the table involved in the query is on the same record before and after the query. I just need to confirm that this is always the case. Can anyone confirm that the record pointer does or doesn't change in an SQL query?

Thanks,
Gavin...
