Only a “true American” should be allowed to live in our great and glorious country! No “real American” would ever question in negative terms anything our country and its magnificent leaders have done. Remember the term from the late 1960’s and early 70’s -, “America! Love it or leave it”! That is where it is at!

We are a country founded by a group of misfits who did not appreciate the social values of the time. As the years passed our attitude towards self-criticism became very different. Why suddenly we were a legitimate nation who could do no wrong! Why recall the principles that created and established our nation when you can condemn anyone who does not agree with “the line”.

My favorite President is Thomas Jefferson, for many reasons. In his writings he stated the people have the right to overthrow the government when it does not represent them.

I feel our nation has some serious problems and the attitudes of different individuals and regions of our nation think very differently. After observing the Presidents State of the Union speech the other day there seems to be a great disparity in how regions of the nation feel about his words and their meaning.

I have not met or talked to anyone in my area that feels Bush gave a speech whose content they can agree with. Be it domestic or foreign policy Bush and others are out of touch. Even our local newscasters commented negatively on what Bush said. If in fact the people of this nation are greatly divided on the plans Bush has for us does not matter.

Excuse the metaphor. The locomotive is on the mainline, is at full throttle and out of control. Watch out for "the end of the line"!
