I'm getting a "Delayed Write Failed - The system was attempting to transfer file data from buffers to [file path]" Windows error at a couple of customer sites. The application is attempting to issue APPEND FROM commands into approximately 30 different tables. The file the error reports is a .CDX file, but not always the same .CDX file on subsequent runs. The data volumes are in the 50MB+ range. The tables reside on a network drive. The problem does not manifest itself if the data resides on a local hard drive.

One of the environments in question is running XP on the client with Win 2000 Server on the server and the other is Win NT 4 on the client with NT Server on the server. The wording on the error message varies slightly between the two environments, but the general message is the same. I've found a number of MSKB articles that discuss this error, but so far none of them have solved the problem.

Does anyone know of something specific with VFP6 SP5 that could cause this error or a possible workaround? I appreciate any suggestions.
