Thanks for your help.
I have found out that there is a updated version of the Crystal Reports for .net. Also the problem that I encountered is a bug. The work around is to double click instead of dragging the field to formula window.
However, I did not find the hot fix on crystal ftp site that tech support gave me. I did email them to inform them that I did not get the hot fix and to provide me with the right link.
