1) Limit is 2Gb for FPT files. I think any VFP file actually.

2) Index corruption is not a problem of VFP itself. Its caused by external factors. This topic is often covered here in the UT. Here are some links:

CDX Corruption Checklist - http://fox.wikis.com/wc.dll?Wiki~CDXCorruptionChecklist~VFP

and

Avoiding Table and Index Corruption - http://www.craigberntson.com/Articles/kb005.htm

and many more threads searchable here on the UT.

>so im assuming that there will be no problem for the controls of databases or any particular files. We are always facing problem most of the time our database get corrupted or sometimes index doesnt behave well... is anyone here encountered the same problem before. Im using encryption on my database(CRYPTOR). the last time we don't use NT server that was worst... but after we shifted error was less... but how can we eliminate this this type of problem... Or the version of VFP that im using has some problem or need some updates im using vfp 6.0.
