John, if no one has yet replied to your post you can click on the small open folder icon at the bottom right of the message pane and edit your text (tooltip is "update").

>WOW, sorry.... my whole message wasn't displayed there. What I was trying to say was that when the user clicks the new button all the fields are cleared out. When this happens the record the user was currently looking at is updated to a buncha blank fields. HELP!
