I have never seen any public announcement of a "Client-Server" tutorial by Soft Classics. Are you using Codemine with SQL server at the moment Steve?

>I love the framework and what has been released of the documentation, but these types of questions and situations could be handled very well by a tutorial.

Sure, but the problem here would appear to be simply a settings issue. Unless full details of the problem are supplied, its difficult to arrive at an answer, tutorial or not.

Is the calling form specified correctly? is the view set correctly? is the CDE set correctly? are the cursor properties set correctly and so on. Plenty of times basic Codemine framework questions arise here that are amply covered by the existing tutorials. However, it doesn't stop people asking questions, misunderstanding the examples etc.

FWIW, I am currently writing up the first Codemine SQL tutorial. The Codemine SQL server sample application is currently under development. I have been working with a relatively simple but usefull part of the sample application that contains most of the basic requiremenents for running Codemine against Sql server 2000, and, the part of the sample I am currently documenting could be re-used in all SQL server applications you create with Codemine. It almost could be part of the framework (ie., a framework class), given it re-useability.

So, this might give you something to look forward to.

Best
