>Great!!!!!!!!!!!! When do you think it wil be finished?

Hey John - I didn't think you were talking to me <s>. Glad to see I was wrong. Probably a couple of weeks or more. Once its done, I will be submitting it back to Soft Classics and then they will have to put it into their Help system and then build in the completed sample to the 7.1 download and so forth. So, I don't know when it will actually be available. However, the main thing is that is actually being done as we speak (because I am doing it) and, I am working on the sample application itself.

Just so you dont get over excited, the first part of the tutorial will cover the creation of a single form that manages a particular task but in that form we have remote view(s), SQLPT cursors etc., All the techniques you would expect to know about are in there and also, I will be fully documenting a very re-useable and cool class that mixes SQL and VFP data handling for creating very responsive results in real-world SQL apps.

Beyond that (SQL tutorial #2), there is another re-useable class that will show another technique for handling syncronisation between editable child views and parent SQLPT navigation cursors and, a way of dynamically assigning new instances of this manager class at run-time too.

Finally, there should be a third sample that will provide a "usefull" application that contains the two re-useable classes featured in the first two tutorials and a little more besides.

So, it will take a little time for the full set of tutorials but it should be worth the wait. But for the first one, its a case of "watch this space" <s>.

Best
-=Gary
