Thanks for your reply. The copy jobs are all on my C: drive, so network effects are minimal. I recompiled the program and then ran it "Do myprg" and it took less than a second. Then I ran "Do myprg.prg" and it took a long time again. Running "Do myprg" again or "Do myprg.fxp" still took long.
Wierd.

P.s. How do you clean the cache (as referred to in previous email "you're getting some bad timings because of caching")?
