I have a dropdown list that is populated from a cursor. When creating a new record, I default to a specific item in the list with a THIS.DISPLAYVALUE = "MyDefaultRecord" in the When event. This works well. I hit F4 and the list expands to show several columns and properly displays the default. If I try a KEYBOARD '{F4}' in the GotFocus, the list goes to the first value in the list. How come? How can I programmatically hit the F4 after the control gets focus and retain my default value?
