Hi Crady,

You could use VFP6 just as well, but if you really want to do things the right way, I'd buy a copy of VFP8. Not only will you be ensuring the success of your project by enjoying the latest benefits the VFP8 has to offer (not least of which is Intellisense technology) but you'll also be doing the developer's community a favor by supporting the product.

Remember: Microsoft hears loudest what the VFP community says about Visual FoxPro by looking at the bottom line! Support the product. Buy the latest version!

>Thaks for your prompt and nice reply. What I 'really' want to do is to keep the flat-file dBase format in that I will never use the app in a multi-tasking, or multi-computer environment and certainly not on the web. If I can keep it simple that's OK, but if I need to completly re-write, that's OK too. Your insight and comments are appreciated. Also, do I need some sort of "developer's" or "run time" edition? Might the VFP 6.0 work for me just as well as the new 8.0??
