I have a client whereby I have set of sister VFP applications that comprise the clients software system.
The folder structure is as follows:
s:\AppA\AppA.pjx
s:\AppB\AppB.pjx
s:\AppC\AppC.pjx
s:\Common
Obviously all the common files are in the s:\Common folder.
When I check AppA.pjx into VSS I get the error on files in the s:\common folder I get the VSS error "File s:\.... could not be mapped to the SourceSafe..."
I understand from research here on UT regarding a VSS not wanting to add files outside the project folders root. (*** I don't understand why MS has not spent much effort on fixing this and many other issues ***)
Surely I am not the only VFP developer who organizes this way.
How is everyone getting around this.
I thought of moving my PJX's to the root of S: but I am afraid of each PJX picking up wrong common files in other project sub folders.
In other words:
s:\AppA\AppB.pjx picking up s:\AppA\AppA\Forms\AForms.vcx... instead of s:\AppA\AppB\Forms\Aforms.vcx...
