In Win2K, try disabling the write-caching on the client first. To do this, from Windows Explorer, right-click on the C:\ drive and select Properties. Then select the Hardware tab, make sure the hard disk is selected and click the Properties button. On the next window, select the Disk Properties tab and then uncheck the "Write cache enabled" checkbox. I'm not sure if a reboot is required or not.
