It's probably the Grid that is changing the alias (The Grid is on LETTERS, right ?).

Break the relation to LETTERS and see if you still have a problem with the record position changing in PERSON.

If it turns out that the Grid is the problem, then you have to review how you are setting the relations.

>I have a selection list on a screen which allows users to select a person in the list and have the related detail information display within the pages of the page frame. For example, you select John Doe and the first page shows his full name, dob ("unknown"), place of birth ("unknown"), etc. The second page shows a list of correspondence we have received from Mr. Doe displayed in a grid. The tables for personal info (PERSON) and correspondence (LETTERS) both have an index on the personalkey which is assigned to each record. The tables are related based on that field. When you click on the name list, the correct personalkey is selected and debug shows that the the keys are the same in both PERSON and LETTERS. The information is in sync. The data displayed on the first page of the pageframe is correct. But then I click on the 2nd page of the page frame and thinks go batty. The currently selected alias changes from PERSON to LETTERS and I am no longer on the correct record. I am
>always one record PRIOR to the correct record. I've followed this code step by step over and over. There is NO code between "everything is OK" and Click of the page; the debug simply redisplays with this new info. Can someone tell me where this info is being read? The page frame is straight out of the standard library and has no code in it; there are no default codes referenced. There is no code referenced on the page itself. What am I missing? Someone throw me a lifeline here, please!
