I can access those files from explorer. And if I map a drive to the server share then I can copy files there too. Only if there is no mapped drive, the UNC path doesn't work either.
Totally frustrating, and I don't know if it's VFP or not.

I know that Explorer will reconnect to resources as needed if you just explore the relevant directory.

So maybe there is a WinAPI call I can make that doesn't map a drive, but does establish a UNC connection to a directory on a remote machine.
What's frustrating is that VFP7 doesn't seem to do that - and it does seem necessary.
