>Good news, Hilmar. For my reasons to use Mozilla, see http://www.xulplanet.com/ndeakin/arts/reasons.html . It seems Opera has incorporated many similar features.

Does it work satisfactorily with the UT?

I have the following problems right now:
  • When opening a messages in the hierarchy, too much vertical spacing is placed between some lines.
  • Some other mis-alignment problems, especially on the main page (the graphic buttons on the left go beyond the border of the left frame).
  • Only lately did I have the problem that while running Opera, my only mouse pointer is the arrow - whether for selecting text, dragging a window border, etc. I suspect that here the fault is not Opera alone, but an interaction with some driver.

And yes, looking at the list, I now notice I forgot many important options: can pause downloads; can zoom with "+" and "-" keys; greater security (for instance, confirmation when a script wants to access a password); and a few more.

Perhaps one of the most important ones is that if the program, Windows, or the computer crashes, on the next startup Opera asks you whether you want to continue where you left off. Enough information is saved, while browsing, to make this work correctly.

    >BTW, have you tried the UT with graphics OFF ? :-)

    It looks horrible.

If I want fast browsing, I would use, instead, the option to use only images that are already in cache. Then, if a particular page looks bad, I press Shift-G to load all graphics, or right-click on an empty graphic frame and select the option to show this particular graphic.
