The offending record was a zero lotno, that had been added to the table. I think it may be akin to the blank record, u suggested, as the field was numeric.... Reference Microsoft Knowledge Base Article = 142283

I haven't ever used... insert into yet..., I used foxhelp to learn more about it, I was really glad I did, that is going to be one useful command in the future.
