The MSKB #Q136920 provides a teeny bit of detail on how VFP handles UNC.
Essentially it says that there should be no problems save for "In general, with the exception of the SET DEFAULT and CD commands, any command that can take a fully qualified path in Visual FoxPro can support UNC.".
