1.) yes, can be SQL. there's an example in the demo. Most of what is in the demo is just using DBFs.
2.) Yes, you can set up results in any number of ways
3.) The VFP8 runtime should work- that's what the demo page is running. I guess you'd have to turn your clock back to compile it.
4.) If you're signed onto your machine with administrator rights and have IIS running, you should be able to download, run the simple setup, and run WebAppBuilder to start out with a skeleton web app...
