I've used two different frameworks. When I first made the leap from FoxPro 2.x to Visual FoxPro I chose ProMatrix as my framework. It did a very nice job and really helped me with the learning curve from 2.x to VFP.

A year ago, I began working for a company that uses Maxframe so I had to learn a new framework. I can honestly say that I'm thrilled with Maxframe and highly recommend it. It's extremely robust, yet flexible enough to let us tweak it as needed. In my opinion, it's superior to ProMatrix.

So it depends on your needs. ProMatrix worked and let me build apps that were very professional. It's just that Maxframe has much more to offer, IMO.
