Only the app and not the data? What about copying the directory structure down to the laptop?
>Hey folks!
>
>I am looking for a way to copy the latest version of an application into production from the network down to a user's laptop without their intervention so they can take it home and always have the most current stuff.
>
>I want to keep the application name the same (VLTC.EXE) at all times on both the network and hard drive. I don't want to run a program that goes and finds the latest app.
>
>However, doing this while in the application obviously causes a "file is in use" error. I've tried doing things ON SHUTDOWN, in a program that runs the app then copies the file after they exit the app, and none of it helps with the locking problem. Any idears?
