Consider future "maintenance" fees. Are you retaining rights to the software ? How many other potential customers are there ? What's the competition ? What are the cost savings to the customer ? The benefits ? Sometimes you take a (small) loss just to get a foot in the door, or to get your application (business) off the ground.

Consider the absolute minimum $ that you would settle for and go from there.
