>My network people are telling me that XP MDAC doesn't support VFP. The machine I compile on has MDAC 2.5 (Win98), but I don't think this has anything to do with my problem. I am using VFP databases and free tables - no ODBC or anything. Am I right that MDAC is a non-issue for me?

To expand on Mike's cryptic response, you're right, native VFP makes no use of ODBC or ADO and does not care if *any* version of MDAC is installed.

Your network people seem exceptionally good at finger-pointing and throwing out red herrings. Just tell them VFP works fine on properly configured Windows XP and a properly configured NetBIOS-compatible network. Tell them to get their rears in gear!
