I researched something like this last year using Linux. The CCD camera is always live. At a trigger point, you want to capture the image and save it as a file. Your best source would be to talk with the camera manufacturer, and see what they reccomend. There are some activex components the camera signal could be routed to. There are some articles regarding image processing (with VFP) on this board.
