Okay, I have downloaded a plain-text only email client (tabMail), so I can check this out. My understanding is that Rob wants to the message to contain *two* different email messages...one in HTML format, and the other in plain-text format.

Rob, can you clarify if this is what you mean? Garrett, if he says yes, I may hold to my original 99% statement. *grin*

tabMail will receive the HTML message as plain text, but it doesn't look very good. IOW, for plain-text recipients, the message would need to be formatted differently (simpler, of course).

The message I tested this with is a Microsoft Technet email, with is MIME multi-part content.

There will be some HTML layouts that will look better in plain text than others...
