hello all --

i generally develop apps using VFP and Oracle, but we have purchased
a third party Delphi application. we, of course, have access to the
database files and would like to create some reports that the
existing application does not provide.

in the data directory, i see files with extensions:

.DB .PX .VAL .MB .X* .Y*

my question ...

could someone give me a general orientation or explanation of what
these various file types are. (i.e. are they equivalent to foxpro
data, index, and memo files).

also, are these Paradox tables ? and if so, can Delphi create
Paradox format tables, or do you need to do that with Paradox ?

Could you recommend a good relevant reference (book or articles) ?

thanks,
patrick
