The text is not formatted correctly because when the message instanciates it's in HTML format. If I click Format and then Plain Text after the body has been loaded and the mesage displayed everything lines up perfectly.

I was hoping that there is a property that I could set on the message to make the format 'Plain Text' instead of 'HTML'

Again I'm certain that I'm loading the text to the Body property and not BodyHtml
