Hi Denis,
I think it is not VFP, which is dead, it is the whole client/server approach how we used to build and deliver data driven applications is dead.
VFP is a great tool, same as PHP, perl, Java, C#, etc. As others it has its pros and cons, but it is a great contemporary tool.
The portal-based approach to build system which constist of loosely coupled objects is the approach to build apps for todays and tomorrow.
Forget your EXEs and APPs, and use VFP for to build data-driven web-based applications. VFP will do the "data-driven" port for you, and
http://www.arnicacorp.com will do the web-portal, web-reporting, workflow, single signon, http clusetring part for you. You will compete with Java, be able to integrate and mix your VFP with C# and other parts, and win entrise projects!
Igor,
Your friend!
