On my main menu selection of Tools - Intellisense is between the Object Browser and Task Pane Selections.
Task Pane works fine - but I notice that it flashes by a screen where it satisfies itself that it is connected to the internet.
You are obviously putting in some long hours - sorry I could not be of more Help.
