Contrôles ActiveX en VFP
Hi Sergey,
Here is how to reproduce the problem:
In VFP 7.0 I had subclassed the Chado SpellCheck activex control. I added a couple custom properties and methods (one of the methods is an _assign method for a custom property).
In VFP 8 I try to modify the class in VFP 8 or drop the class onto a form and I get "selectonentry evaluated to incorrect value" or "Syntax Error" errors. But in VFP 7 no errors and no problems doing the exact same thing.
To fix this I removed my subclassed activex control from the class library and then subclassed the control agiain (this time in VFP 8 re-adding my custom properties and methods). Now there are no problems.
What this means to me is that a class library containing an ActiveX control that was created in an earlier version of VFP under certain unknown conditions may not open or operate correctly in VFP 8.0. The workaround is to remove the subclassed control from the library and rebuild it in VFP 8. It looks like subclassed activex controls created in VFP 8 work without problems in VFP 7.
Thanks for taking the time to investigate this problem with me,
-Ryan
