I bet would have come up with this.
The problem is probably in the line(s) before this. For instance if you have a ; at the end of a comment on the previous line - it will bite you just like this.
So have you tried deleting the previous line - really deleting it - not just commenting it out. Then re type the previous line and your apparently offending line.
