it is possible to build a hierarchial XML document structure with the XMLAdapter or anyhow else?

I have to create a XML document with a special defined hierarchial structure like this:

(Person Id="1")
(Name)Alfred(/Name)
(Childs)
(Child Id="2")
(Name)Bertram(/Name)
(/Child)
(Child Id="3")
(Name)Daniel(/Name)
(/Child)
(/Childs)
(Person)
