Did you tell Explorer to show hidden files? I didn't see the INSTALLER directory until I did so.

Since I don't put a whole lot of stuff into my PC, I was lucky that the one in question was the third one down. It's tooltip included the word "baseline", but I assumed it was the one and went ahead and deleted that.

>Jim, thanks for your reply. FWIW, I have WinXP Pro but do not have a \windows\installer folder. I did a search on my hard drive for msi files and found them sprinkled all over, mostly under various subfolders under \Program Files. Hope this doesn't indicate a problem. Seems more organized to have them in a specific folder.
