Hugh,
Wasn't there already a memorial party in early November? You posted an announcement of it in October (see Message called Tom Piper (Memorial Party) ... sorry, I can't figure out how to post the message number). I remember because you got mad at me that I couldn't make it, after you did all that work to contact Tom's son and all.
What's the story?

>I called Tom's son today and he has yet to return my call.

>I'm starting to feel like Tom's kid is an idiot who has no respect for Tom's wishes and is likely too selfish and or irresponsible to get it together to honor his own father's passing. I hope I'm mistaken about this. I fear I'm not.

>Should Tom's son have some definitive news I'll be sure to pass it along.

>>>Hi All,
>>
>>> 2) Tom had purchased a life insurance policy specifically allocated (according to Ken) for the purpose of paying for a party thrown in Tom's honor on the event of his demise. -What a guy!
>>>
>>> Ken said that due to financial reasons, he's going to have to wait until the check from the insurance company arrives to throw a proper party in Tom's honor.
>>>
>>>As soon as I know more, I'll get it out to the community.
