Thanks Paul,

Have you seen anything directly from MS that acknowledged this problem? It is especially significant in view of VFP8 which is not supported on NT4. That means in order to use VFP 8 they have to upgrade to W2000 and then run into this issue.

One of our clients is skeptical about our assessment as they can find no MS document acknowledging the problem. Therefore they believe the problem is our application. Another of our clients called in a "database expert" who promply announced that the problem was definitely with VFP and MS knows it and that is why MS is dropping VFP and will no longer support it. When I told the client to never let that person in the same room with me, they reverted back to NT4 and the problem dissappeard. Seems proof enough to me!

Even with these registry settings installed (so they tell me), the skeptical client is still getting the error sporadically, usually at 4:PM when certain folks log out and go home for the day.

Thanks,

Ken
