>>>Now George, that's more than a year and a half ago, and while I can't REALLY complain, I do wish I could afford a new one about every 6 months! I also use a PII 133mHz Win98 SE machine to see if everything still works on those "old" platforms. (It's what I was using before this "new" system.)

>>For me I'm hoping for it to be three or four years before I upgrade the latest system. The last one (a P200) lasted five years. With a son in college, I'm gonna have a hard time getting a new one any sooner.

>I've recently done something I thought I'd never do again - got me a motherboard, with processor on it (Athlon at 1.466 GHz), plugged everything in and now I got a new box for just a few hundred.
Mine cost less than $900 with all sorts of goodies. 512Mb RAM, 80Gb Hard Drive, DVD, CD-RW, printer and a 17" Flat Glass monitor to name a couple. The Athlon runs at 1.67 ghz.
>BTW, put some good dark in the fridge, I'm moving to Atlanta soon.
Will do. Keep me posted.
