Hi,

This may or may not help but in Win98 under Control Panel/System in the Performance Tab/File System, set the 'Typical role of this computer' to Network server to increase the cache size. This will help in improving the performace of the PC.

>After 1-2 hours of work my vfp app suffers from slowing down till to complete hang. In the result I have to kill a vfp app in the task manager (not responding).
>The situation appears as the result of specific form activity. The form isn't very unusual - uses transactions in Save method, has some pageframes, some grids appearing on them are created "on flow" by RemoveObject/AddObject, there are some local views tables as RecordSources - thats all.
>But in fact - there are some system resources leaks - and I can't find the way to control it!!! The System monitor reports 85% resouces free - but my app is locked.
>After switching on the "Performance Monitor\File system\Writes per sec" I got a step after approx. 30 min. from ~2000 wps to ~32 000 wps which indicates that something starts to go wrong - but what? I suppose that there is a system swap file intensively used but have no way to free it.
>VFP SYS(1016) reports some marginally memory consumption - even just before lockout.
>Some clue is that on Windows 2000/nt there is not such a situation - everything works fine!
>So - time to ask the question - Is there any api function to control memory swap file, memory handling and so on - which I could use to stop the leaks?
Speak using soft and sweet words in case you have to eat them later.
