Hi Leland,
The way the BR is written, the user will identify himself only on a checkout point. May be we're starting from the wrong angle already. For now there are all questions and I can not find a good answer. Joe (my manager and developer with a great experience) keeps asking me questions, so I can think. I tried several scenarios so far, tried few flow charts and I'm no closer to the end, that I was week ago. All of this is giving me a great headache...
I have more than 16 windows opened at the same time on my Windows 2000 and I'm looking into too many sources...

>Each user must have an account before given access to the shopping cart. Once the user fills out the account form, have the system auto-increment an account number. Then the user can enter his account number and some other data like email address, mother's maiden name, etc to access the system. All shopping cart transactions should have the user account number as a foreign key that relates back to the parent table of customer's accounts.
