I agree wholeheartedly, and for all non-PRO versions of Windows. The "server" editions of things bring a whole lot more to the game than just more users allowed, and of that just gets in the way for your average LAN small businesses.

Listen to the wishes of its "customers". HA! Bill Gates said he recognized the need for that almost 2 years ago. Steve Ballmer repeated that a few times even more recently. And I was blown away when a recent UT main page headline about a "summit" said "From eWeek: "Microsoft Corp. this week is hosting 670 of its Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs) at its Redmond campus, where it plans to put into practice its commitment to listen more closely to the needs of its customers."". Like these folks represent your average 'customer'... right!
That VFP8's feature list has been largely "user driven" does show that parts of MS can act on MS management's words. But overall MS is still acting like a steamroller and IMPOSING its will on the masses.

cheers
