>Visual Object Modelers and EPS in partnership offered and advertised software that would support VFP users. In addition they offered upgrade/maintenance packages whereby they charged additional money for yearly support. Last year I purchased VUML from Visual Object Modelers on recommendations from EPS, UT member articles, Code Magazine articles. Unfortunately as many of you already know, EPS has not provbied update support for VUML 3.0. They should have let consumers know that customers know that they would not provide future support. They cost some of us a good deal of money.

>For example I purchased in Midyear 2002 Visual UML 2.9.2a the only update since then is VUML 3.0 (DEC 2002). What do you know, no support for VFP. So I payed for a product and product upgrade support based on their advertisements that they (at least EPS) clearly had knowledge that they were not going to provide. Since this is a Fox Forum I will leave out my complaints about lack of CC-Rider support.

OK, OK, OK, timeout!

Yes, I haven't replied to your message, but that's because I received it at 4:30pm Tuesday, while I was at the MVP summit in Redmond. It is now Thursday and I have replied to you via email. I'd not consider this a terribly slow turnaround or (as you state) that we have "chosen not to reply".

So, with that out of the way, let's move on to the productive part... ;-)

We had originally had some doubts about supporting VUML3 because the interest in UML modeling tools in the VFP community is very low. Really too low to maintain a product like this. We then changed our plan from not doing anything, to providing something in the future, but without announcing a release date.

We have since received a good amount of feedback telling us basically that we have our heads up our.... plastic bags (or so <s>).

So, long story short: We have realized that the decission we made was incorrect, and we are now going to provide something much sooner. We are investigating how we can take the current product, and move it to VUML3 as quickly as possible. No feature enhancements. Just plain VUML3 support.

At a later point in time, new features will be added. Right now however, we are focusing on quick turnaround.

Regards,
Markus
