I would not call the low end's (1100) peformance 'stellar'. But they can keep the 100Mb pipe fairly full when tasked. In a small workgroup like we are discussing, I would say more than adequate. Keep in mind, file sharing is ALL IT DOES. It's reliability, ease of setup, and low (zero) maintenance requirements, more than makes up for any perceived lack of performance. There are higher performance units if needed - , gigabit, RAID5, etc. - at a much higher cost. Spend $550 and tell me you hate it. :-)
