As explained in Microsoft Knowledge Base #Q133001, Visual FoxPro uses the first record of the table to create and size output columns. You've to account for that extra call when you create an User Defined Function. In the KB say this behavior is for VFP 3.0 and minor versions, is it present in current version (VFP 7 or 8)?
