>I hope someone may be able to help today (Sunday 16 Feb). The need is quite *urgent* to me because I am to bring to our (Portland, OR) VFP SIG tomorrow (Monday) my machine with the VFP 8 beta. VFP 8 is the meeting's topic.

Two possible stabs in the dark:

- when you try to run from the HD folder, have you made all the installation files read/write? By default, if you've copied them from a CD they will be read-only.
- have you tried a HD installation folder named something other than "VFPPROD1"?
