A little background first.
The application has not changed during this problem. A client called with an application that we have installed at multiple locations with none having this problem. We run SDT as the method of updating of DBCs for table changes and view.

The Problem:
Records not being added to 2 tables out of 8 during a transaction. No errors occur in the program. Only one user on the network. Take the same DBC and table and run the application from Visual FoxPro interactively all tables are updated.

Things tried to correct problem
Ran SDT update with a new set of files for DBCXReg, CoreMeta, SDTMeta, SDTUser and database.

Ran Validate Database Recover.

None of these changed the problem.


The Solution:
Open the DBC in SDT removed the offending tables, copied in a set of tables from my development DBC (after removing from the DBC), zapped the tables, appended the data from the original tables and attached the tables back to the client's DBC. Copied over DBCXReg, CoreMeta, SDTMeta, SDTUser and database tables to have a source for the views. Ran SDT update. And now all the tables get updated.

Yes it now works, but my nagging issue is what was the problem and how can I validate that the problem does not exist in the future?
