I don't understand--are you saying that you copied free tables (plain DBF's) from the MS website? Why? Free tables have nothing to do with whether they have fpt files. Free tables connote not having a parent DBC. Please be more explicit with your question.

PS--FYI, you should be able to connect natively using v.9, but creating an ODBC connection may be faster. You can use a directory instead of a DBC when creating the DSN--that way, you can use your free tables (which you've been using but have likely been calling them database files) and not have a parent DBC, which you can't use with 2.6 anyway.

So we had to use Visual FoxPro Free tables which we installed from Microsoft website. My question is there any concerns doing this because we are directly linking to the tables in our application. Which has the images stored in the inventory.fpt table
