Make sure you apply either SQL Server 2000 SP3, or at least the security hotfixes you can find at http://www.microsoft.com/sql, as soon as possible.

DTS is the easiest way, but without the Client Tools, it's not easy to set up (I think). Either order the 120-day eval CD and install Client Tools Only, or check the online help files to find the proper syntax for BACKUP/RESTORE.

Yes, as far as I know.
