Like Sergey suggested try using troubleshooting options like (from the top of my head) -3, etc. Also if required in the config.sys file try adding this line

*-- CONFIG.SYS
stacks=9,256
or
stacks=18,512

buffers=25,5

*-- AUTOEXEC.BAT
SET TEMP=c:\temp
SET TMP=c:\temp

I had similar problems and these got ride of it, which one really did it I am not sure <g>.
