Hi all,
i have come across one of our largest clients (a government client no less) that seem to have, at certain sites, taken it upon themselves to decompile our software and use sections of the code to build their own add-on products for internal use.
my interest was piqued when i was told by a user about an issue they were having with the software that was not a feature of it. upon investigation and aquiring the software i discovered that our own program files and table structures had been used within the project without any permission or knowledge to us.
what can be done to prove this decompilation, and what steps should be taken there after? keep in mind i am from Australia. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i am programmer at heart, not a solicitor. :)
